In Petrijanec, north of Zagreb, about 5% of the population are Roma. There, too, they live marginalized and in the poorest conditions.
In August 2020, this center with a chapel was opened in Gornje Vratno for the care of initially 40 kindergarten children.
The director, Kristina Cacic, is the godmother of 32 Roma children from this settlement and is supported in her work by two Roma sisters.
From 2022, additional tutoring will be offered for school children who previously had to travel to Varazdin (30 km away) for this.
