Dr. Franz Salm-Reifferscheidt, born in 1944 in Vienna and raised in Upper Austria, is a distinguished figure whose work spans business, diplomacy, and humanitarian efforts. With a doctorate in law (Dr. Juris), his professional journey led him to prominent institutions, including seven years at the Bayerische Vereinsbank in Munich and the renowned Bankhaus Sp\u00e4ngler in Salzburg. However, his career reached new heights during his 30-year tenure at HIPP, where he served on the board, responsible for the Eastern European markets.<\/p>\n

Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Franz Salm-Reifferscheidt is particularly known for his long-standing involvement with the Sovereign Order of Malta. A Knight of the Order for over 50 years, he has contributed significantly to the Order’s humanitarian missions. In September 2013, he was appointed as the “Ambassador at Large for Roma People,” a prestigious role recognizing his dedication to one of Europe’s most vulnerable minorities.<\/p>\n

In this role, Dr. Franz Salm-Reifferscheidt took on the immense responsibility of promoting the integration of Roma, the largest minority group in Europe, into civil society.
